The estimates for works included in MNREGS is prepared in SECURE by engineers of MNREGS and the hard copy of the same is submitted before engineers of LSGD(LID&EW) for according Technical Sanction. Presently the engineers of LID&EW does not have login access to SECURE and so TS is accorded manually. The rates of MNREGS works are different from that of LSGD works and so scrutiny and verification of estimates becomes difficult. It is more tedious if the estimate needs to be corrected as after correction, fresh hard copy is to be submitted for approval. Both PRICE and SECURE are developed by NIC. Hence if provision for according TS in SECURE is incorporated, it would be of great help to all engineers as the process of TS can be digitalised and a clear record of all the proceedings can be made available online for any future reference and monitoring. So urgent action may be taken in this regard.
LOGIN FOR Ayyankali Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme (AUEGS) technical staff and ENGINEERS OF LSGD(LID&EW) IN SECURE OR SIMILAR SOFTWARE for AUEGS works in urban local bodies- Presently the AUEGS technical staff and also LSGD Engineers does not have an access to the SECURE or any similar estimation software for AUEGS works at the urban local bodies. So the current system of manual preparation of estimates by them and further issual of TS by LSGD Engineers was now being done only with data obtained from the MGNREGS staffs working in the nearby rural local bodies. This type of estimation, without even having the access to an estimation software to know about the available different technical data, seems highly irregular. So this issue may be need to be addressed at the higher level.
